Note to self. Auto voltages =/= stable OC.

Thread Starter
So I was doing my first overclock and was oc'ing my i7-930 to 4.11ghz on what I thought was stock voltages. But in reality it was Auto voltages. I ran stress tests and all was good. Was good for about two weeks then suddenly it became unstable. Currently running @ 3.66ghz with stock volts of 1.29v. Can't even seem to hit 4ghz anymore. Anyone oc'ing an i7 to 4ghz can you tell me your voltages just to get an idea of the range I might need to be in.

I use 1.3v but I have a 920 which shouldnt be much different.

Try the 21x multiplier. Some people have issues with the 22x multiplier.
