[Kotaku] Our First Look at XCOM in Motion - Page 3

One of these days, they're going to realise what we want is the original game in a modern graphics engine. SAME. EXACT. GAMEPLAY. Just looking way more badass. The most I'd let them tweak it is bug fixes and character balancing, MAYBE some control over their stats through a level system instead of random rookies with 100 accuracy and officers with 60. Being able to customise their looks would be cool. But as far as researching, hunting, killing, tactical gameplay... no touchy!

I liked the retarded AI, was amusing as hell when they'd have a dude with a Blaster, and he had a 50/50 chance of either slaughtering loads of your guys... or his own, rofl.

Nothing like the original... who are they kidding?

There was someone doing a game just like the originals X-COM but that wasn't called (obviously) X-COM if I recall correctly.

Anyway this looks mediocre so far... I wish the companies stopped ruining franchises in this way.

this looks god awful. nothing like ruining a brand, this is a shadowrun kind of fail here.

UFO has taken over the Xcom banner. They are rough around the edges, but fun as hell.

See I tried playing the first UFO game in the series and really didn't like it. The enemies were way stronger then you, the weapons you had were pitiful, and it just seemed to get harder and harder the further you got, instead of easier like in the original. The original it started really tough because your weapons sucked, but the more research you did, and the faster you did it, the easier it would become.
