i'm not talking about that how big is your res. i'm talking about some bottleneck that is killing a flow, between res and pump

what is this? is it a cap? remove it or your next pump will die to.

I looked at multiple pictures of that res, and from what I can see, it is a cap with only 2 small holes to intake water. It is probably restricting flow severely. I tried to get more info from the Bitspower website, but it is not working for me.

What supporting that res? It looks like its suspended only by the tubes connecting to it. Shouldn't be anything to do with your problem, was just wondering.

The DDC's have a couple spots on the bottom that get really hot if they don't have decent airflow going across them. The fact that you affixed the pad to the bottom just further insulated it causing it to get even hotter.

I really think that the res was restricting the flow enough to have the pump heat up too much.
