AMD Phenom X4 955 BE Temp Question. - Page 3

I just saw your case. Did you try to unplug that big side-fan? I think that one could be one reason for your high temps. Give it a try with the side panel off also.

No fan is on it, took that off awhile ago.

Nothing wrong with that temp at all, most especially since you have a C2 like me. It's all these (lucky?) C3 guys that keep telling us our load temps are too high when they're not.

install probe II and check the temps. or the temps in hw monitor. those temps must be off. you should go by the overall socket temps. its usually higher then core temps by a few degree c.

those temps are high.

Though, the Hyper N520 is not a great cooler, you should be able to do more than that.

Have you checked your mounting to make sure it's secure?
What TIM are you using?
Have you tried increasing your FAN Speed.

I don't know why that is for you. I get max temp of 46C on Prime95 at 3.8GHz. And yes I'm using a C2. Though the megahalem and Arctic Cooling MX-3 is awesome

I'd suggest getting a Noctua NH-D14/Prolimatech Megahalem/Thermalright TRUE Black for heatsinks. If you want, a H50 but if you're serious about watercooling, might aswell grab an Apogee XT with a loop.
