In all fairness to those who don't care about halo.......
Halo popularized video gaming beyond belief... I've been playing games since I was 3 well over 19 years ago..
Halo was the point in which the "cool kids" said "HEY LOOK LETS PLAY GAMES!!!!" and even now.. a lot of people think they are "hard core gamers" when their resume of gaming consist of Halo, gears of war, gran theft auto and maybe a hand full of other 360 games..
I just did not care for the original halo, it seemed so cartoony and cheesy I just wasn't interested in playing it... and I remember something outrageous like "the suits are so hardcore if you have a stray thought you break your own arm" or some crap like that..
I'm not saying every game has to have a scientifically accurate story line.. But, at least have less plot holes than dragon ball z towards the end
If you like halo that is fine and you have a right to.. apparently a lot of people do.. but, don't think that there aren't reasons we dislike halo..
And honestly.. after in higschool back in 2007 listening to a junior talk about it every day at lunch... for the entire school year.. a dislike grew to an intense hatre.. the guy was a junior in college and he played halo with a kid who was in eight grade.. over a four year difference.. and it was all he talked about.. playing halo with a guy who was noticibly and suspiciously younger than him.. Despite the fact he had other friends he could have hung out with and other people who wanted to be his friend..
He pretty much lost every friend he had because of halo 0.o.
With that said I didn't like halo to begin with... point being.. if you don't like something.. and everyone in the world raves about it.. there is reason not to like it..
Just like i dislike apple because I think their products are mediocre.. but, people tell me "how great" they are on a daily basis against my will.
