Hey guys,

So this is my first time building my own pc and was hoping to get some feedback/critisism on it, as my previous "pc" was a Sager NP9262 laptop but, as its starting to age it has turned into a class note taking laptop instead of a gaming and note taking one. Im pretty set on the cpu but, everything else is open to suggestions especially the case and pcu .Anways, instead of hearing my whole life story onto the build....

The only thing I'd contest is the PSU.

I'd rather suggest an Antec or Seasonic 750. 1000 watts is a bit much unless you have other plans, and even then I'd skip Cooler Master myself.

Oh, update to the build...i'll be getting a XFX 5870 instead of the gtx 470...the plan for the 1000w psu was for the ability to run xfire in the future...and last me beyond just this card. Like for example instead of buying like a 850w now and 3 yrs from now when I go to the next best card or w/e and I need a 950w psu ill already have a 1000w. From what I read on reviews this 1000w psu seemed to be doing pretty good but, if its not that great please let me know

Even with crossfire a 750-850w psu would be fine.

I would skip on the evga mobo also.

Do you really think you need 8gb of ram?

I would switch your heatsink to this one. It comes with the brackets for an extra fan and it performs better:

I would try to fit in a 40-80gb SSD to be used as a boot drive. Your budget certainly has room for it. You would see a huge difference in performance with a SSD instead of 8gb of ram.
