Hey guys, this is my second build. I did one for my uncle already and im finally getting the chance to do my own. I was wondering if any of you guys have any input/recommendation on my build. I didn't really take to much time on it. I picked everything out pretty quick just so I can get a general idea on pricing. Total price right now is about $1600+ but i feel like i can really save alot more money with some of your guys' help.

Yeah, it's alright but I'd get a quieter case. If I were you I'd double check to see if I can get a lower price on something, because I found the PSU with free shipping ( not sure if Tigerdirect has fs ) a Antec P182/180 would be quieter/sexier and might even be cheaper. The CPU, if you live near a Micro-center might be cheaper.

Well besides the fact that you have 6 GB of RAM that's normally used for X58 systems, everything looks good. I would go with a nice 4 GB set.

Also I'm not sure if your cpu cooler works on LGA 1156 from the description on tigerdirect, but I'll let someone else take a look at that.

Overall good set up!

Here are a few recommendations.

CPU: i7 875K can be purchased for $200 from microcenter or about $250 on ebay, a better choice then the i7 860.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-368-_-Product

Case: Much better quality and higher airflow
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-197-_-Product

Ram: P55 boards can't run triple channel so three sticks would all run in single channel. Get 4GB instead.

OS Drive: A Intel x25-v or Vertex 2 would be cheaper and perform much better.

CPU fan: Prolimatech Megahalems or Corsair h50 would be a much better choice.

PSU: Corsair 650HX, better quality and modular. $99 AR.

In order to use triple channel you would need to get an x58 board and a LGA1336 CPU(i7 920-980x). Here's a really good board, open box but still covered by warranty.

First that case is just bad (but if you like it go for it)

Consider this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-239-_-Product
Black interior + amazing build quality. Lian li = amazing

Maybe get a better power supply too. Ultras are not really favored around here. Look into seasonic, corsair, enermax, or certain ocz models

Example: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-088-_-Product

Also I have never even heard of that ssd company (usually means bad)
Look at ocz vertex/agility

Edit: jump on this deal at amazon http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Suppor...6239135&sr=8-3
cheaper than the original one you posted and better.

I second this post, I would get that instead; but a cheaper PSU but since it's over 1k..it's better to get a good PSU. Plus that case is awesome.
