This isn't true.. Overclock.net is the reason why the Earth is so hot.

2012 and any doomsday BS related to it is complete BS. Total, utter, insane BS.

There is no 'galactic' alignment that is going to happen. Ask any astronomer.

There is no 'pole shift' going to happen. Ask the NOAA.

There is no 'solar flare' going to be released by the sun large enough to wipe out most life on the planet. Ask any solar astronomer.

The planet is not going have a giant shift in it's 'tilt' as it already shifts approximately every 26000 years. Ask any astronomer, it's called precession.

Ok. What if the sun outputs a massive magnetic field in the opposite direction of our current field. That will result in a torque. Every planet with a magnetic field that's in alignment with the magnetic poles of the sun will be forced to switch direction. Can you say yank the earth upside down? Now it might settle into a different precession pattern based on how it flips. The core is surround by magma so it's possible that only the cores flip with the magma drag affecting the precession a few degrees during the flip.
Why is uranus sitting on it's side? Because during these events perhaps that's where the magnetic bursts converge. So it's forced to lay on it's side. Perhaps the south pole magnetic field moves faster than the north pole field and locks it into it's orientation.

Now electromagenetic fields fall off at a distance squared rate. Magnetic fields fall off at a distance cubed rate. So to make a magenetic field that stretches all the way out to uranus would require one heck of a lot of smaller magnetic alignments to all stack in just the right way. But it's the sun. Could be possible.

Galactic alignments are not quite what you think they are.
Now call me around the end of july and let me know how dollars are working out for you.

2/3rds of the states are broke. 2/3rds of the corporations are broke. All the countries are broke pulling all future demand into the present time to simply maintain. The bridge between the present and future is broken and can only be fixed by repairing perception of the past and what it was about. Our governmental system of bonding the people isn't working any more. Government simply does what it wants and sticks it on a taxpayers bill without taking any effort to gather support for the action. Why co-create with people who simply create what THEY want and force it on you as an inevitability.

Isn't that because of a collision with an earth sized planet, a few billion years ago ? I recall reading something about that.

Oh great, another 2012 believer and wacky science idealist. The sun is not going to cause a 'flip' in the poles. Our poles are fine. Our magnetic field is fine. Nothing is going to happen in 2012.

Galactic alignments are what I think they are, they align in an astrological sense not in an astronomical sense. Get off your tarot cards and check real astronomy some day. If you really wanted to scream 'GALACTIC ALIGNMENT OMG!' you would know that according to those wacky galactic alignment scientists, we have already passed the 'center' of the so-called 'dark rift' alignment.

What does the end of July have to do with my dollars? I'll click that link after I finish typing this. And what in the wide world of idiotic paragraphs does your last one have anything to do with the related context? Sure, alright, I'll indulge. 2/3 of this world's people believe the same loony things you do and that's whats dragging us down. Get a grip on reality.

EDIT: That link about some crazy Mayan doomsday BS was a waste of a good internet link. Please refrain from posting BS. And for the sake of this world's children, I sincerely hope you refrain from teaching them BS like this. It scares them. They are children. The world is not going to end.

This isn't all that surprising since it's been a lot warmer this summer. Not to mention the fact that there has been news of people fainting of heat stroke around the U.S. in places such as Chicago. The hottest it's been here in Colorado so far this summer is 108*F

you have a point there. While some companies are trying to harvest the likes of solar and energy, most are still pumping waste into the air/water. I always watch the news and read up on stuff, and browse various pictures on google. I have yet to see big name companies try to convert their useage of energy. Sure they recycle products and reuse things, but thats not enough.Recycling paper (the most common way of an office being "green" in my opinion) may help, but its not changing the world.

California is the only place i know of actually doing something, like another state (forgot the name) banning the use of plastic bags, which is awesome.

i don't buy in to the end of the world, but i always think what if ya know? but still, i have common sense, and it tells me that once companies start actually using other means of resources to thrive their production, then we will see a difference, until then, we aren't really going anywhere.

Just read up on that earthquake that occured in the indian ocean, found a funny comment posted underneath it

Quote:
I absolutely believe that there is truth to the theory of solar flares directly activating earthquakes, hurricanes, and volcanic eruptions on earth. And if NASA and many scientists are correct, the sun is going to have MAJOR solar flare activity come 2011/2012.
