Sure they recycle products and reuse things, but thats not enough.Recycling paper (the most common way of an office being "green" in my opinion) may help, but its not changing the world.

California is the only place i know of actually doing something, like another state (forgot the name) banning the use of plastic bags, which is awesome.

i don't buy in to the end of the world, but i always think what if ya know? but still, i have common sense, and it tells me that once companies start actually using other means of resources to thrive their production, then we will see a difference, until then, we aren't really going anywhere.
You gotta start somewhere, if we didn't have those things in between, lots of companies wouldn't even consider making the huge change.

Galactic alignments are what I think they are, they align in an astrological sense not in an astronomical sense. Get off your tarot cards and check real astronomy some day. If you really wanted to scream 'GALACTIC ALIGNMENT OMG!' you would know that according to those wacky galactic alignment scientists, we have already passed the 'center' of the so-called 'dark rift' alignment.

What does the end of July have to do with my dollars? I'll click that link after I finish typing this. And what in the wide world of idiotic paragraphs does your last one have anything to do with the related context? Sure, alright, I'll indulge. 2/3 of this world's people believe the same loony things you do and that's whats dragging us down. Get a grip on reality.

EDIT: That link about some crazy Mayan doomsday BS was a waste of a good internet link. Please refrain from posting BS. And for the sake of this world's children, I sincerely hope you refrain from teaching them BS like this. It scares them. They are children. The world is not going to end.
The Earths magnoshpere is far from fine we have a huge hole in it. Giant Breach in Earth's Magnetic Field Discovered This means when the annuale giant solar storm that occurs every 150 years hits expect alot of fried electronics on Earth. Also anyone that has read anything about the Mayans knows they never predicted the end of the world.

Bold : annual, 150 years ? wut ?

As for the Mayans, yep, that's very true.

How often do reversals occur?
As a matter of geological record, the Earth's magnetic field has undergone numerous reversals of polarity. We can see this in the magnetic patterns found in volcanic rocks, especially those recovered from the ocean floors. In the last 10 million years, there have been, on average, 4 or 5 reversals per million years. At other times in Earth's history, for example during the Cretaceous era, there have been much longer periods when no reversals occurred. Reversals are not predictable and are certainly not periodic in nature. Hence we can only speak about the average reversal interval.
Magnetic reversal is, in fact... a fact.
I'm not saying that one will happen in 2012, but you should check your facts before dismissing actual science.

Text that isn't yours should be in quotes, aweir.

I have often wondered if I would get enough warning to shut off my electronics at home before some event like this occurs.

On a side note, why would the maximum of an 11-year cycle be in 2012 if the minimum is around 2010? Is that a typo in the article...?

LOL @ this ...

Well no matter what happened / happens It's still it's a good idea to stay out of the sun for EXTENDED periods, especially those of us that live in places like CALI where it is quite common to spend hours on end at a beach "getting some sun".
