Keep dreaming...please KEEP DREAMING!
Anyway as a laser by definition has to be light, how can you have a non-light laser?

My Art-Major understanding of this is that it does not darken anything, but instead just pulses more precisely and with a greater amplitude than a normal laser.

At extremely regular intervals, the light output dips GREATLY, allowing more precise measurements. It is a "dark laser" in the sense that the light emitted dips to almost-nothing.

This does not absorb light, or produce some sort of energy that reduces light, or in any way change the way light around it acts.

Any sciency types want to confirm this?

I guess laser here is the wrong word (light AMPLIFICATION by stimulated emission of radiation?). Shine a beam of this stuff on the large hadron collider track and we've finally got us an apocalypse!

TBH though, I don't think anyone here has the capacity to understand how the "laser" truly works.
