I thought that the prevailing theory was that the sewer or water system leaked into the bedrock dissolving the calcium(or something) in the bedrock until basically a giant hole formed underneath. It sound like this tropical storm was just the last straw.

Though when i first saw the picture i though it was faked. Im surprised that more doomsayers haven't caught onto and said that its hell trying to tunnel to earth or some ****.
