[Toms] 2 GHz Motorola Android Phone May Arrive in Q4 - Page 3

Enough with processor speed on phones. They're fast enough. Improve the battery life, already. The way iPhone/Droid users glibly accept having to recharge their phone once a day (if they are lucky enough to make it through the day) is absurd. That's what we did with brick-size analog phones, folks. I want phones that can go a few days on a single charge, and there is no way I am alone in this.

Mine does? and I use BT in my car every day on my commute, I check email 6-10 times a day, make a few calls/texts and listen to music on it. Only thing that kills it for me is wifi, and low 3g signals.

I'm sorry I had to do it.

About batteries:

I have an expanded battery on my G1; lets it last a good 4-5 days sometimes more if I really limit my use of it. A lot of people don't know that you can swap for an expanded battery! Mine is 2,600mAh, which I think the regular battery is 1,200, so a little more than double the battery life! It makes my G1 a few centimeters thicker, but it doesn't bother me.

I hope you meant a few millimeters thicker... The problem with that is phone cases can no longer fit. I have grown accustomed to my Droid's Body Glove.

5mm to be precise, so roughly half a centimeter, I stand corrected. Honestly, the added 5mm actually makes it more comfortable to hold and type on.

Omg Look how fast my phone is!!!
.. I dont see anything..

Well thats because I have to use it with the screen turned off..

My Man, StormX2, has a Sanyo SCP-8400 on Sprint that after 5 years still gives him 3 days of heavy use, full week of Light Texting.

Nope, i'm with ya on this.

Seriously, I have a G1, if i use the ebook reader (set so the letting is white, background is black) it still drains the battery in 4-6 hours. Not cool, imo.

While I'm cool with all this tech advance and putting everything plus the kitchen sink into a small device, i would prefer to have devices that can actually run whats on them without need to be plugged in every few hours.

Seriously, what good is a phone that can tell me how to get somewhere, play the latest games, etc, if I can't use them when i'm going to be away from a power source for longer then 4 hours?
