Buying new PSU

Thread Starter
I currently have a antec three hundred case on my gaming rig. Just wondering, which PSU would be great fitting in and what do you guys recommend? Not really into a budget but I need something that is 700W+ and can last atleast 2-3 years.

I've seen a few good ones but then I read that "you must have this case or that case to fit it in"

Anyone can help me out? Thanks.

Why does it have to be more then 700w? With a single HD5870 you would be fine with a quality 550w. Either way, I'd recommend the Antec Truepower New TP-750. It's a good unit for the price.

so far i'm impressed with the unit i just grabbed the other day in my sig, i got it for 110 cad, so state side should be 100 or lower.

100% modular, 80silver efficiency, looks nice, quiet and it had some really nice reviews rating it high.

+1 for the Antec TPN 750, if you can't get that, then the corsair hx750.

I'd only recommend Seasonic or Enermax. Their Gold series is the best you can buy. Seasonic also has other lines that are less expensive. I'd suggest reevaluating your needs, since most users don't really even need more than a 400W PSU. Single video card(maybe minus the GTX480) systems that aren't excessively overclocked could get by with 400W. Considering the trend for components to either reduce in power or stay at the same power envelopes in the next generation, buying a higher rated PSU for "future-proofing" doesn't make much sense.
