It wont work. modern flat panel TVs WILL NOT accept full hd resolution over the rgb or vga or whatever connection. The only way you will do it, is with an HDMI or DVI cable. I have a post somewhere on this forum that goes into more detail, i'll find it.

Edit : ok, i can't find it, but i know ive covered it before. Anyway, as i said, you need to use a DVI to HDMI cable. It doesn't matter what HDMI socket you use on the TV (usually, ive never seen one where the socket mattered). Using the vga/rgb cable, the best res you will probably get is 1360x768. Any sort of odd combinations above that might work, but the picture will be screwy. For full HD, you need a HDMI cable.
