[LR] Scythe Yasya Review - Page 3

I got mine about 4 days ago and within 24 hours I had my AMD x6 1050t 2.8 ghz up to 3.5 ghz stable, with fan on low(1400rpm), max core temp was 42c, and max CPU was 53c after 17 hours of Prime. Definitely easy to install and way quieter then I expected. Took me alot of thinking and research to pick this one out and it just kept seeming to be the best buy. I was thinking of going with the Coolit Eco but any review I found with the Yasya and Eco the Yasya always was slightly better(and cheaper ).

I dunno. This new PWM Slipstream has a better blade design but the motor still seems to be ripped from an 80mm fan. But aside from that, the "sleeving" they used for it looks like crap.

I haven't witnessed a smoke test or seen a review of it yet. So I'm not sure if it'll perform better; but the small impeller (motor) is really just a killer. No matter what size your fan in; your impeller's gotta have a proper design or you're lookin at crap.

Exactly. I don't know why they insist on this instead of giving you a Kama Flex or something similar, as you noted earlier.

Push Pins?! Really, Scythe? That alone designates this a FAIL cooler in my book.

I got this Cooler just yesterday.Mounting it was a nightmare, I really regret not getting the Mugen 2, the temps are not very impressive.Maybe when i use the MX-2 instead of the thermal paste that came with the cooler i get better temps.
