@ Eastrider, you're forgetting the awesomeness that is AMD Bulldozer, and for the 1st series,it'll still work on socket AM3.
Bulldozer should be very nice.

However I am not as hyped over it, Performance is supposed to be less than i7 in single threaded apps but more in multi threaded apps.

I'm a gamer so I don't care about 12 cores, hence the i7 will still be the winner for some.

A 1055t already does that. So I expect the bulldozer to be better.

sorry what? 1055t is still the old phenom architecture.

Hence it performs the same as the x4, x2's in single threaded apps.

The 1055t's 6 cores is what makes it good, because it can compete with the i7 in multi threaded apps.

c'mon this is common sense.

x6 has more cores, i7 has better architecture.

sooo i7 wins single thread
x6 matches i7 multi thread

And please don't argue with that because you have already been proven wrong on various threads, it's like saying a phenom ii x2 beats an i7.

Is the point which architecture is older?

You made a statement, i said the 1055t already does h
that so bulldozer will do better. You just said the exact thing. Do you have comprehension problems?

Thanks for proving my point though.

Not really true.

1x HD 5870 2GB is close to £400.

Two HD 5870 2GB comes to £800.

Once you include the mouse and the case that it comes in it costs them about £900. So they're only taking about 10% profit, unlike Intel who are taking over 9000%.

No you have reading problems oh and spelling problems too.

I said the 1055t is meh for single threaded apps.

you said it matched i7 and you're wrong.

We'd still have to see how Bulldozer works. Unless I just woke up from a comma I didn't notice, I think there are not benches out yet

And Dead!, I'm Intel fanboy to the most, but... I highly doubt I'll see any 920 or 930 for 100$ or 100€. At least by here, but I'd say that over there, neither.

This isn't for the mainstream market... Intel releasing an expensive CPU for benchers doesn't make the rest of their lineup any worse.

That's like saying "Oh Jesus, Ford is making another supercar. I'm only going to buy Chevy from now on!"

That's why the top-line AMD Hexacore it's just a bit over the price of a mid-range i7, right?
