You never know, AMD could bust out with some Extreme CPU line out of nowhere and totally stun Intel and shock the Enthusiast market!
I wish this would happen! Amd has a very nice product with the Phenom II x6 though! I love Mine!

I am a AMD/INTEL/NVIDIA/ATI(AMD) fan boy!

An i5 and i7 destroy a Phenom II if what you do is use your computer all day... if you actually use your computer, there is so much difference.
The Phenom II x6 ravages the I5 series! Compare them personally!

The I7 Series is 5 - 10% faster! If all six cores are taxed, the Phenom II X6 is faster!

If AMD did come out with a new xtreme edition 6 core, and priced it around 6-800$, they'd make a LOT of money. At least until Intel comes out with some hex cores in that price range.

Intense flame war is intense.

I don't think its worth spending that much money on a CPU that won't make a noticeable difference in any program i use, but then again i don't pleasure myself to benchmark scores.
