ahh, i think your right. i must have misread the source. i wonder what their reasoning is behind this then. seems to me like a very peculiar move to release another 1k cpu with only a slight increase in speed. unless they have something else up their sleeve.
sandy bridge for 1366?(pentium overdrive anyone?) i remember when they did something like this with the pentium and made a chip for 486 systems called the pentium overdrive.
other than that, strange move until we have further info on the chip itself.
