What AT&T smartphone? - Page 2

Yeah, I would prefer the Nexus, but not for $530 + plan. The iPhone only costs $560 + tax (probably a little over $600 final) for the phone and 2 years of 200mb data plan. The Nexus would cost over $900 after tax. I like android, but not for that kind of money!

Also, not a bb fan. Android or iOS for me.

I would wait another 6 months or so if you can handle it. More android phones may or may not be coming. *Cough* Dell Streak *Cough*

Is the streak coming to AT&T, particularly subsidized (though if I wait that long, I may be able to afford un-subsidized)?

I'm in no real rush, but would like to get rid of this thing (Some hand-me-down, came with the plan LG slider) asap. But I can wait if something good is on the horizon.

I'd hold out a bit... I believe there are supposed to be a total of 3 or 4 android phones on AT&T before the end of the year, though I don't know which ones offhand. The backflip is very meh, it's running first-gen android hardware, and there's not a lot of dev comunity: no root or custom roms for it.

The new iPhone is nice looking also, but if you'd prefer an Android phone I'd wait it out, at least for a few months. Worst case, if nothing you like comes out, you can always go with the iPhone then, it's not like they'll suddenly stop carrying it...

The iPhone 4 will be the best AT&T phone when it comes out. Just get it and don't look back. This is coming from someone who doesn't care for Apple, as well.

I had the iPhone 2G/3G for a total of 2.5 years. I am much more satisfied with mu Nexus One. The build quality on the 2G iPhone was awesome though.

How exactly did you get your Nexus One for AT&T? And how much did it end up costing you?

I bought it from google.com/phone. There wasn't any tax and overnight shipping was free. I paid $529 (no contract extension woohoo!).

Oh, yeah way too much money for me. I'd rather pay with my contract extension. I also believe that Google discontinued selling the Nexus One online.
