what is thje best i7 dual SLI/CF motherboard with full 2 X PCI-E 16X

Thread Starter
Hi.

i searched the internet for but all i got cannot cover all of these points:

- intel 1366 socket for i7
- two PCI-E 16X slots running both at full 16X when inserting two graphics cards. (in most motherboards i found, the 2nd PCI-E slot is running 8X when both 1st & 2nd slots are populated.)
- affordable price.

i know that the gigabyte GA-x58-UD7 or something like that can run two pci-e at 16X but the price is really hot.

any suggestions ?

I'm pretty sure any x58 motherboard with 2 PCI-E 16x slots can run both at full speed, as it's a feature of the x58 chipset, so just look for any x58 board that meets your budget and requirements in other areas.

Nope, most X58 motherboards switch modes. Some use the NF200 or Hydra PCIe expander.

As for the OP, the P6T has two permanent x16 lanes. If you want to save money, get the P6T SE and flash with the P6T BIOS.
Once again...

The Rampage II or III Extreme!!!!!!! Amazing motherboards! Also people recommend the EVGA X58 boards like the Classified and the 3x SLI as well. Check those out!

I like Rampage III Extreme and Classified, but Classified NB heatsink better than Rampage.

I think you are thinking of LGA 1156. All x58 boards support 16x/16x (in the first two PCIe slots).
