No but your UK already has this passed on your side of the pond, they already have the ability to ban websites that they deem "not acceptable"

Almost 100 years of unconstitutionality is what progressives on either side of the political spectrum call 'progress'; it is regress though.

Progress could be defined in draconian measures as the departed view of the limited role in/of government.

"Limited government is a government where any more than minimal governmental intervention in personal liberties and the economy is not usually allowed by law, usually in a written Constitution."

The Consitution is that which places checks and balances and 'limits' what the government can do to you; defines the "absolute rights" of individuals as the right of personal security, the right of personal liberty, and the right to acquire and enjoy property. [A principle that is not disputed; a maxim]

[1-04/Maxim]"Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness"[/maxim]

Progressives believe that government is a creator of rights; they believe government is God.

Uh, they have no power to "ban" websites? From what I remember, they have they can ask for peoples information and browsing history from ISP's... but it is very unlikely they will unless it is serious crime.

Really?

If you think that USA is the most corrupt country on the planet you don't read the news much...

THE US would not even be in the top 50 list.

Guess each country (US aside) will start 'saving as much of internet as they can' so in case the switch is flipped they will simply allow access to their citizens.
Next step will be exchanging 'internet information' between countries...

and mailmen shall rejoice

I do read news, I do think that USA is most corrupt country in the world. Just media are too afraid to make a bad name about country where their HQ is. It's little difficult to detect some of corruption going on in USA but it is very easy in other countries especially third world countries.
