Looking at replacing the thermal paste for my XFX 5770 (rev2) CrossfireX - Page 3

I have crossfire (XFX and powercolor, rev 1 and 2 respectively). I am having trouble too with the temps and not sure what to do. Oddly the rev 1 is really hot (82+) but the rev 2 is fine.

Did you try changing the TIM in the end? Perhaps it was mounted incorrectly which is causing this. Contact XFX and see if you can RMA perhaps? My rev 2 doesn't go above 74C in crossfire I believe, and my airflow is NOT as good as yours. I am at stock speeds FYI.

I changed thermalpaste on my 5770's, used Noctua NT-H1 and temps dropped about 20c!
If you dont care about losing warranty, do it.

You don't loose the warranty.

Does XFX allow you to change the thermal paste without voiding the warranty?

I believe XFX lets you. Check their website's warranty for info or call them to be sure though.
