No, its rumoured to. And 10% faster than a 7800GTX512 is still pretty considerably faster. Just take all those fps in benchmarks and multiply it by 1.1 and compare lol..

Maybe the architecture looses efficiency if its clocked higher. Id think it would get more than 10%. Oh well Ill just wait until the actual benchmarks are released.
Very nice!

Wait a tick....release is March 9th....or rumored release.

SOB....my invoice for my 7800GT was December 7th and my 90 days are up on March 7th....GRRRRRRRRr, it's a tuesday....maybe they'll release the 6th since it's the beginning of the week or something, but that blows. I'll complain that I didn't get it until the 12th (the date I registered the card) and see if it'll go through

I can always put in for a request and hope

I guess im not human cause i can def tell the difference between 30 and 125 frames and not only that its about the smoothness of the games the faster the better and registry goes way up the more fps u get

The human eye see's lag with frames below 30 fps, that is why films make them at 30fps, because that is the lowest the human eye will not see lag.

On the other hang, human eyes can not see frames above 70 fps. So that means all you people running at like 120 fps, you're not seeing a difference than a 70 fps, so turn up eye candy!!

Lastly, still not revelant, but human eyes can not see anything faster than 8ms. So monitors that are like 2ms, human eye can detect the difference between that and 8ms.

All scientific, just google it.

He's saying you cant tell the difference betwen 70 ish and 125 frames. 30 is the smallest amount of frames the eye can see without seeing lag.

I BELIEVE it's from the date it was registered, within a week of purchase date... not sure though.

i wonder what the "real world" fps is, as in our eyes, and real world light...i wonder how long technology has to go up to acheive perfect fps, as in, to be as real as possible, no ghosting, lag or anything to interfer with the experience.

The "real world" FPS would depend on a person's vison, reaction time, interpretation time, etc. But it is not perfectly smooth, for example, wave your hand back and forth very quickly in front of your monitor or TV, you will see a couple shapes of your hand, and some blurs, but will not see your hand the entire time.

A very good answer.
