OCZ Burned out...AGAIN!

Thread Starter
This is the second time I am replacing my OCZ 520 Powerstream. Within 6 months. I am very supprised that a product that was rated as highly as this was has failed...TWICE! I ended up biting the bullet and replacing it with a PC Power and Cooling 510. What a difference! Voltages are much more stable and consistant.

Anyone else have problems with their OCZ?

I've had mine since December 1st.

First day I got it I started to overclock as high as possible on air. Days later I got my 650 to 4.42ghz but not stable because of Vc.

Ran my 650 @ 4.16ghz & 6600 GT @ 500/1200 for 2 months and now my 660 @ 4.32ghz & 6800 GS @ 500/1200 since two weeks ago and so far not a single issue with my PSU (**knokcs on wood**).

hmm... I've heard about lots of problems w/ the 600w version, but not the 520. when you get your new one sell it as new on ebay and get a seasonic S12-600

My 12v rail jumps around a bit.... I really don't like that! I'm waiting until I have some extra cash to invest in a new psu.

But the 3.3v and 5v are solid as a rock.

Mine's been solid as a rock for a year now, no problems at all. Rails don't move, and are spot-on.

My first one failed, the replacement is fine though; stable and very happy with it

Im just disapointed with the product, I had fast turn around time when I sent it in the previous time. So far I am much happier with my PC power and cooling 510. Although it is a little bit louder, the cables on it are longer which is a huge pluss since i have a Lian-li 2100 case.

Im just assuming its because I have way too much stuff hooked up. With 6 hard drives, ati 9800xt, 2 dvd-rw, PVR-350, SB 24-bit, promise RAID card, D5 pump, sunnon 120mm fan. And an over clock of 3.8 from 3.2....oh well....sometimes you gotta....push it to the limit...
