my new mushkin callisto

i got my new SSD mushkin callisto 120 gb, m not sure how or what to do to install new os on this one, i just install it in place of my main HDD, boot with win 7 DVD, windows started the setup progress, 40 minutes later and the installation still at the completing installation step......
i heared that win7 will finish installation on SSD in 10 minutes, what happened with me?
I tried to boot from my old HDD, keepping the SSD, then i repartition, reformat the SSD as NTFS, then reinstall win7 and the same result, setup was very slow.
Did i miss anything? should i have a driver file to load it in the win7 setup phase? should i put AHCI in bios before installation (i even tried this one)? is it possible that the drive have problem?
thanks for any helping me started my new SSD experience.

1) Did you install off a CD? Because 10 minute installs only happen when I'm using a flash drive to install Windows 7.

2) Use IDE in the Bios, at least that's what I used and it gave me good results.

3) After installing your OS on your SSD, follow this guide Link to get the best performance and good longevity.

Congrats with your new SSD

While files are transferring from DVD to SSD you wont get the increased speed but as soon as files are extracted on SSD, you should get very fast install speeds, so strange it takes 40min to install. Perhaps the extracting part took the longest due to old slow DVD drive or scratchy DVD?. Mushkin Callisto is a Sandforce SSD so you will definitely want to install with AHCI enabled in Bios to get fastest speeds.
