A friend of mine got a plain vanilla 6800 a while ago. It seemed to unlock fine and he choose not to OC the card any. Every other game it plays great on the higher end graphic settings (Fear and Doom3 run great...plus many others)

Then he tried to play Quake4 the other day and no matter what he set the graphics at he said he had lines that would appear off and on. He would still get good FPS on the higher settings.

He is using the latest nVidia drivers and it is not OC'ed. Is this a known issue with a 6800? I used to have the exact same card, but I did not have Quake4 at the time. I feel a little guilty because I recomended the card to him.

Any one have a clue where I could tell him to start looking? So far the only thing I could think of to try was to re-lock the card and try it, but since it works fine on other games he'd rather not do that.
