I've got 2 3.0ghz P4's sitting here, a GB P4 Titan mobo, a Pentium D and DFI 975x board, and a A8N-SLI and 3700+ I want to put under DICE...but I need to get my hands on a pot! Then once I have mastered not killing those, I will move onto my Xeon and I already miss my Phenom so much I might pick up another AM3 setup.
Thank you! There are quite a few great pot makers out there. I use a Piotre's pot, but I've heard BartX and Duniek also make awesome DICE/LN2 pots. Kingpin also sells his own, but I find his pots to be a little overpriced. Look into used pots also, sometimes you can find real bargains. You could also even make your own. For DICE it looks like pretty much any pot will do. I'd just recommend you have a lot of surface area, fill the pot with 1/4" of alcohol on the base and crush the DICE into powder.
I started playing with DICE on my Core i7 860 as you must have seen, there's really not much to worry about if you insulate correctly. Check out Bassplayer's guide on insulation, I'd even call it overkill.

Sure! On DICE I added kneadable eraser all around the processor, cut out a neoprene square to place inside the socket and had a piece of neoprene on the back of the motherboard.
On LN2 I painted the back of the motherboard up until the PCI-E slots with vaseline. Besides that I painted areas I couldn't reach with the kneadable eraser with vaseline. This included inside the CPU socket.
I would recommend you cut out neoprene to fit around your socket area, but I don't have access to cheap neoprene here so I just have to make-do with the art eraser. Main reason is if you mix the vaseline with kneadable eraser it'll become a nasty goo that just won't leave your motherboard.
Next session (Saturday) I'm going to paint my P55 FTW 200 with nail polish and kneadable eraser. We'll see how that goes.
