Me too!

I love to see the effect, but not the source.

But yeah, personal opinion.

Like all the others have said its a matter of opinion But If you got UV reactive Tubing or fluid for Water cooling I think that looks completely awesome, you can buy markers that react to UV light and write on your Mobo

i was trying to do some UV lighting in my case for awhile to light up the anti-kink on the black tubing but gave up because of the shadows and the difficulty in finding out which CCFLs are actually bright enough and how many and placement... its a pain but it can look really nice like previous posts

In all honesty, it not only comes down to preference but also to practicality. As others have stated, it's nice to see the effect but not the source. So if you have a case with a very large window and minimal metal bordering it, you will likely end up seeing the source and it will completely detract from the effect that the UV will bring.

On the opposite note, if you have a very small case window you may not get the complete effect either, which will make it money wasted. So it all comes down to what you want and what you already have. The best suggestion I have is to map your case out. Along with practicality also comes ease of installation and whether or not it will inhibit further upgrades to your rig. If, after considering all of these things, you still want to install UV lights and you have UV reactive tubing, fluid, components, etc that will show off the effect but not the source, then by all means go for it. But it isn't a cheap decision to make by any means, so consider wisely.

right now my case my case has no cable management so my cables are all over the place. i'll try to shove them in the back again...
and fortunately if i put UV lights in the very front, the window edge is large enough to hide the lights!
and i cant upgrade nothing with this case anyway, i can bareky fit my 4890 in here! my hard drives are in the way! so im buying CM690II (and the window) soon.
i wont do watercooling untill i get the money for it

would UV lighting be worth the money?
and if it is can you recommend a UV cold cathode that doesnt burn out in a month? thx.
it wont burn out in a month but im sure you'll probably get bored of it in a month.

Add some UV wrappings on your cables so when you turn the UV light on the cables will glow like snakes inside your casing.

This is what its gonna look like when its lighted up
