You are using Marvell controller + Marvell drivers. Try replugging to Intel (SATA 2) controller and installing the latest drivers - Intel® Rapid Storage Technology. Also, and this is most important, make sure in your BIOS it is in AHCI mode.

I think I figured out the problem with my C300 and why my numbers declined so badly. Even though my mobo has SATA III it does not support trim so my SSD is not actively trimmed (i guess that would be the word lol). What can I do about this besides getting a new motherboard? I'm about to upgrade in a month so I have a few extra hundred dollars I could get one if I really had to. also what would be a good X58 board for SATA III (one that supports trim lol)? I think its the Marvel controller that's the problem.

That motherboard does support trim on the Intel controller. It's only on the Marvel controller that you run into problems. If you use the Marvel controller use the standard Microsoft AHCI drivers instead of the Marvel supplied drives and you should have Trim working.

Indeed, Intel controller supports TRIM. So it's best to switch to it (I think it is light blue SATA slot on mobo). You will get better performance in any case with Intel.

However, according to Lsdmeasasp, TRIM is not supported by Marvell controller no matter what drivers:

So for me to get trim on my SATA III SSD I need to run it on my SATA II ports? That blows.

just got a c300 64gb. pretty happy. had a score of 487 (i think) with the msachi driver, so the amd_sata driver is a fair bit better for me

I used this tool to fix my bench score after updating to 0007. It's same as Force Trim tool.
