AS SSD Benchmark thread - Page 130

Just filled out my specs. z68 chipset, using sata 3 port, don't know if it's Marvel or Intel though. The Bios is in AHCI mode. The disc is 70% full. Right after restarting computer, the latency is good and the 4k write speed is 67 MB/s. Then after a few hours, it gets to what it shows on the screenshots.

Look in your owner's manual to determine which ports are which, or pay attention when it boots. It isn't that difficult to figure out which port it's plugged into.

Just got my OCZ SATA 3 60gb Drive i am unsure if these are good speeds or not
-just a single drive
-AHCI enabled in bios
-Updated firmware from OCZ tool
-Disabled write caching
-inserted sata 3 ,6 gb cable
-connected into correct port
-my mother board is a ASUS M4A89TD PRO/USB3 Motherboard
-is their any thing else i can do to speed it up ?

You want Write caching ENABLED and Buffer flushing DISABLED. All in All those scores look low

Disable, Remote differential compression, in programs and features Turn windows features on or off.

Set all power settings on Max performance in advance settings. Disable sleep and hibernation. Disable superfetch in services and registry if you know how. errr....turn off system restore....turn off disk defrag in services, also stop it running on a schedule....errrr....set pagefile around 1000mb dep how much ram u have...(I have no pagefile)...

Thats a start

Dont ASSD bench mark it to death!

I would get rid of the AMD AHCI driver and just use Microsoft's driver. Worth a try at least
