Nope, stay on Intel SATA II.

First post here, first SSD as well.

I'm pretty happy with the performance, let me know if these results look off:

Try it and see how it works for you, but make sure to get the latest drivers. Worst case is you plug it back into the ICH10 controller.

Here's my last benchmarks on the Marvell for comparison:

nice, I might have to give it a shot.

Is it just the marvell driver I need or is there something else that goes with it?

I just got these drivers from the asus support site for my board:

Marvell 9128 Controller Driver V1.0.0.1034

is this the latest?

I'm trying to figure out what the procedure would be, would I install this driver, shut down and then move my c300 over to one of the sataIII ports, and then make sure it's active and selected in bios?

I purchased a refurbed Mushkin Io 128GB SSD last year. It's still going strong.

Original Scores:

Current Scores:

I may pick up one of the 120GB Force 3 models to replace my Mushkin Io as my games SSD. Io would become a secondary games and MMO drive

Just got my M4 today. Speeds look excellent even though it's running in Sata 2 3GB/s.

Improve speeds by getting Intel® Rapid Storage Technology.

Speeds can't get any better than this as my motherboard is limited to Sata 2 3GB/s. I'm using the M4 as a drive to store games on, so I doubt installing Intel's RST would further improve performance.
