They do seem a bit low... Or about half what they could be...

I got the finishing tweaks done with the SSD in my system. And this is what I've now come up with:

Really impressed! And this is with my full system installed and all programs and anti virus.

I'm sure this is regular business for you all that have had SSD's for awhile now, But I am just in awe with the performance. I'm glad I went ahead with this drive.

looks about right for that drive...

However, You might want to try out the AMD AHCI chipset drivers. They might level out your performance a bit...

Be sure your using AHCI set in your bios.

Newbie question, can i use these drivers with this motherboard ???

Right now im using this driver pack for AHCI ( ATI System Drivers for 7xx/8xx/SB7xx/SB8xx Series (except RS690, 740) ) from MSI website, so should i install those from AMD site. ..?
Its probably the same thing, just updated, but on MSI still are outdated. Just want to hear someone's opinion

Moderators, sorry for OOT, feel free to delete.

Yep, use the AMD Chipset Drivers. smile.gif The ones on the MSI site are most likely out of date a version or two.

OOoo...

I didn't even realize the release date on these! I installed my new SSD a couple days ago and these drivers hadn't been released yet, lol.

Wont what they'll do... wink.gif

Added:

AMD SATA AHCI driver in the new package is 1.2.1.321, as apposed to the previous 1.2.1.317.

No discernible performance difference in AS-SSD at least.

Everything look okay here?
here are my result :
Crucial m4 64 GB in Asrock Z68 extreme3 sata3 port
firmware 0309 & Intel Rapid Storage driver
AS-SSD.jpg
-
there's nothing different score between 0009 and 0309 firmware biggrin.gif
i want to buy crucial m4 128 GB, but in my country is too difficult to find that item frown.gif

Here are my results. I'm not really pleased with the Agility 3 speeds. This is RAID10 with (4) 120GB OCZ Agility 3s.
I'm using the grey Intel ports on a Maximus IV Extreme Z, not the Marvell SATAIII as there are only 2 of them.
Initially I got a score of 1029 with a clean Windows install, but didn't save that screenshot.
What bothers me is the degradation already. I have 191GB free on an available 223GB so it isn't what I'd call 'loaded up'.
I also have Diskeeper 2011 with the Hyperfast module for SSDs to keep them optimized.
This rig has been running for a little over a month and the drives were all Sanitary Erased and had the latest FW installed before Windows.

The last one I ran was an 885, so it seems to be dropping and quicker than I like. mad.gif

Here's the score for a single drive that's running in AHCI mode on one of the Marvell SATA III ports...also AgilityIII 120GB.
75.9GB free out of 111GB available.
