AS SSD Benchmark thread - Page 199

Appreciate the feedback! Ya The drive is sickly fast and I know the 805 score is beefy :-) My PC experience is at a whole new realm. I just seen the lower 4k read an was a tad nervous seeing other drive scoring a tad higher their but move over to the 4k write and over 100 mb/s made me happier that most drives don't hit that. Overall I'm in geek heaven.

Wondering if anyone can give me some feedback as to the speeds on this:

501

A couple of things. This is running off of my laptop which is a SATA 2 connection. This won't be at SATA 3 speeds. Also, I haven't done any secure erases to the drive, so it most likely has been filled up and there is no "blank space". Thanks guys!

EDIT: Probably should mention that it is a Crucial M4 64GB.

Does not really look very good but if you have it full might be about right.

I think the resounding response will be to install the intel storage drivers for your board...

not to much of a difference i see eh? Looks like you got an antivirus storage shield or something causing a bit of overhead performance drain... but after all, that's what ssd's are for... biggrin.gif

I'm already itching to get another 128 buddy ssd for a raid playdate... (although as it stands I cant even trans-code fast enough to saturate this ssd lol)... rolleyes.gif

I love being able to "see" the raw machines performance with the ssd removing the storage device from the performance bottle-neck equation...

How can you tell on the anti thing? I'm running Kaspersky anti virus that came with the Asus MB..........

I'll be running raid 0 with two of these next week, should perform well.
