And just for fun, here it is in a Cache-box from Nexiom:

Any ideas what would cause the bad time there?

So if I set it to AHCI or SATA mode the Acc.Time will drop by 100 times? Sounds too good to be true if that is what you are saying. But why would it be in IDE.... I must ponder.

HOLY CRAP, I didn't even see the access time lol. That cache box, if it has a HDD in it I believe that is why the Access time is high for read.

You may need to do a regedit before changing SATA mode: http://www.overclock.net/t/1227636/how-to-change-sata-modes-after-windows-7-installation

You should get slightly better performance in AHCI mode.

Did you ever check for it in your BIOS? lol

You got it. This is a hybrid cache solution with HHD and SSD together. I am doing a review as we speak.
That access time is the HDD I think. The AS test does not let the system cache as it wants to. I see the same speeds in HD Tune. Still not bad for 1.5TB of storage device eh wink.gif
Other tests like ASSO and Crystal disk mark show it much faster. And it does way better on PC Mark Vantage x64.

Thx again !! thumb.gif

this makes me glad I know how to build my own systems, I guess that's what happens when you get someone to assemble a system that has no idea what they are doing.
