Why do people overclock, simply for speed, faster is more efficient. Hopefully the new prefetch for W8 will improve things too.

Not necessarily, also trim is nice to have but better than trim IMO is OP (user over provisioning).

Of course many people are happy enough with their HDD's, whatever works for you. wink.gif

OCZ Vector 256GB SSD Review

http://www.techspot.com/review/609-ocz-vector-ssd/

Pros: Top notch performance that is consistent across the board. Pricing is competitive with other top SSD offerings and slightly better value than previous flagship, the Vertex 4. If OCZ's work with the Vertex 4 is any indication, this will be a top contender in the SSD market for the next year or so.

Cons: We can't question the drive's reliability at this point, but OCZ's track record is mixed, at least compared to the likes of Samsung.

Also, the reviewer kinda left out 4k speeds for every test.

All they showed was seq and high queue depth tests...mad.gif

I thought it strange they don't include Plextor M5P in a lot of these reviews and also the M5P reviews don't include Samsung 840 Pro, only the regular 840 and 830's.

Sweet, I was worried that my laptop might have been limiting that drive somewhat. Looks like its par for the course thumb.gif
