Wow I expected more from PURE RAM... but I guess the interface must be slow?

Also you failed to fill in the form (big red link on OP).

Good numbers but seems a little odd.

hmm I just realized that the i-RAM is actually connected via SATA 150, and doesn't use the PCI slot, except for charging it's battery...

So, considering the interface limitations it's not bad.

Just to confirm, you have 2x i-RAMs with 2GiB of RAM in each for a total of 4GiB?

yep I saw you filled it in, and I sorted it...

I was just checking since the array shows up as 3.9 GB in the screenshot, so I figured it was 4GB all up, and 2x 2GB..

But you say it's 2 i-RAMs with 4GB in each, then the array should be 8GB, right?

when I'm setting RAID 0 in BIOS, after selecting the disks it ask for the disk size so I change it from 8.0 to 3.9, I guess it should be 8 then ?

I picked up a new OCZ Vertex 120Gb a few weeks back. I've been getting up to speed with all the tweaks and fiddling to get the best setup with big stuff in like my users folder on my WD black. Finally happy I took the plunge and updated the firmware to the latest 1.6 and thought I'd run the benchmark program. I'm not a big fan of putting such a lot of writes on it but as a one or two off I suppose it's fine.

So, do my results look ok to the resident experts?

Edit: added my numbers to the spreadsheet.

If you have 8 why would you only use 3.9...?

you can't "short-stroke" RAM

10+ MB/s write speeds for Indilinx drive is excellent

Read speeds are normal near the 30MB/s peak for Indilinx

It appears that FW 1.6 is good

I edited your post, your offset was green, and your controller was probably ICH10R with those numbers

Excellent, I've been slowly coming to that conclusion myself after looking through the spreadsheet at the start and a few other places. I'm certainly very happy with the drive now after getting all the tweaks in place and using it for a while. Of course I've got the bug now, how long can I hold out until the next upgrade?
