EDIT: Cleaned up your entry and sorted it into the list, deleted the second entry.

So it's a little OT, but I'm considering creating a new thread: "An SSD Buyers Guide"

What do you think...

Since every 2nd new post is: "What SSD to get?" etc

I was thinking of putting in the specs and dividing the performance by controller etc and keeping the prices mildly up to date...

Any ideas?, thoughts?

Sounds good. Call it, "Unofficial SSD Buyers Guide" or something similar.

Make sure you include reviews for each SSD.

--

Technically it would be called "A SSD Buyers Guide" since you don't say "an solid state drive."

If you put this together it would be great! I only know one other person that knows more about SSD's than you..Anand Lal Shimpi. I am sure there are others, but around OCN I can not think of anyone that has helped more fellow OCN with there SSD's than you have.
You have excellent retention of material and a flair for making what seems impossible, simple!

-EDIT-

Now on ACHI and not RAID with MS drivers, not AMD's .. Reading has improved, but writes are less .. grrr..

Thanks for the flattery, but I don't really know much, I've been learning by contributing in these forums!

Good to know that the old AMD drivers are not as good as msahci.sys...

You might find that amdsata.sys does better speed numbers, but then you don't get TRIM...
