Dual channel

Thread Starter
I have 2 sticks 512MB PC3200 Mushkin working in dual channel.

I'd like to had 2 other 512 sticks. Is it possible to still take dvantage of dual channel? What do I need to care about while shopping for the 2 tohers? Does it necessesarely needs to b of the same brand? Same timings? Exact same voltage?

I'm a noob about all this... sry

The new sticks (we'll call them A1 and A2) don't necessarily have to be like the sticks you currently own (we'll call them B1 and B2).
However A1 and A2 have to be exactly like each other in order for you to run them in Dual Channel.
When installing the new modules you will have to refer to your mobo manual to check how/where you need to install them (in which slots). Normally when you want to run Dual Channel you need to install similar modules in the slots having the same color.
Just one last note... if you can, try to buy new modules (A1 and A2) with timings/speed as close as possible to the ones you already have (B1 and B2). Otherwise your slowest ram (having the highest timings) will become a limiting factor and might force your mobo to run the other modules at a slower speed and/or looser timings that matches theirs.
