Love Fallout 3

I agree.

Oblivion's has a lot more focus on multiple races and character types (e.g., warrior, spellcaster, stealthy-types, etc.) and the mysticism that surrounds its plot. Great storyline.

Fallout 3's has VATS, a grittier, harsher feel, and a completely different type of storyline, equally great. It also has a lot more combat involving multiple threats, sometimes of multiple types (e.g., taking on Super Mutants and Talon Mercs at the same time).

If you like fantasy, you'll love Oblivion. If you like military-style conflicts or historical fiction, you'll like Fallout 3. You may like both. Their "vast world" style and discover/travel models are similar, but that's really where the simlarity ends, IMO.

I wish they would add campaign coop for the next Fallout or TES:V
Maybe a maximum of 4 players LAN or online.
Not MMO because that would ruin the game story

Then it would become the only game that I would play.

My god this would pwn. Of course we'd have to make the storyline objectives MUCH tougher to correlate to the increase in players. Maybe force the difficulty to the hardest level when coop is engaged?

But yeah that would be awesome. And, IMO, the only MP that would really work with Fallout.

lololololol, but srs a TDM/DM style MP just doesn't work with Fallout IMO. First and foremost we have the weapon balance...not exactly fair when you have a .32 pistol, your opponent has a 10mm, and I barge in the front door with an Expiramental MIRV, now is it?

There's also the matter of VATS. A lot of Fallout players rely on it, but it won't work very well for MP unless it's coop.

Now I could see something similar being done. Later in the game, instead of there being AI, the Enclave and BoS troops encountered along the questline would actually be human players. It would certainly make the purifier assault much, much more challenging, wouldn't you say?

Does New Vegas use the same engine as Fallout 3?

I'm wondering whether to go the GOTY edition or New Vegas :/

Yeah. Obsidian took the Gamebryo build from FO3 and reskinned/retextured/reanimated/whatever it. Added in new features as well. Hopefully, they also bugchecked the hell out of it.

I hope NV has a wider variety of guns and a bigger map. Oh and fixed water. The reason why 3 crashed so much in W7 was because of some odd water texture error.
