That's Bethesda's fault. And the modders fault for not fixing it.

I actually did. When I say that many saves, I mean that's how many times I saved. That was the number. I did NOT have that many save files. I had maybe 100 save files.

I certainly did get my saves corrupted in FO3. Awful VATS delay. Made new character, problem gone.

That's why I'll probably play hardcore from the start, I missed the element of survival in FO3.

Also, do the graphics look slightly sharper than FO3, or is that just me?
in the case of this game. you wont get to experience the different endings and quests in 1 play through.

Many endings, and many many branching side quests. Not Kill a or b, but by killing a you start down a new path of quests, instead of the quests that you would get from B.

It will take probably 3 or more to do everything. That is one thing that obsidian is great at. Alpha protocol is a masterpiece in this aspect. The game reacts to everything you do in it.

Personally, I never get around to doing more than one playthrough in any game. I sometimes start a second, but I never get more than 1/4th into the game. Even if the game has multiple endings and the action/consequence thing built in. Usually, if you even notice the differences, they're pretty small.

I mean, I've done two rounds of Dragon Age, and in both cases got about halfway through, but the only real differences were specific interactions with people. Like, as a dwarf, I would have another conversation option when talking to dwarves, and there were a few different lines thrown about when I played a mage, but more than that? Not worth a second playthrough for that.

This is all from my personal experiences from playing these kinds of games. I don't feel like going through a 20 hour storyline for the second time for 20 minutes total different content. If I hear people say that if you decide to take completely different actions, the game will be completely different, I might rethink this stance, but as of now, one playthrough will be enough for me.

dragon age is 90% the same in all playthroughs, but that 10% is totally different if you do it.

Alpha protocol on the other hand is 90% different each playthrough if you do things different. Everything you do in AP has some sort of effect on just about everything else in that game.

Mass effect is probably about 50% in terms of changing depending on what you do.

I dont think you have to much experience with the genre.

The devs have already stated that you will have to choose your path, and when you do, you cannot do the other things in the main quest, you will have entirely new plot and quests depending on which faction you choose, and also see quests and the plot from different sides in the story, giving you a different view or side of the conflict. Which might point out that in your first play through you were used and lied to by the first faction you used, but never found out, but on the second one you actually find out what was going from another faction and learn the real truth, not the lies. etc.

Thats what obsidian does best.

Save corruption is why I I'm currently on save #541 (all manual saves) on my current game. 8h 40mins in.

Random crashing from F3/mods is why as well.

If I don't clean out my F3 saves folder once a week, it'll grow about 1.5-2gb per week... that's how much I save. >.> I've had over 800 saves on one game without cleaning them up, took 10 seconds for the game to read through all the saves. >.<

Also: I thought I joined this club before? I'm even on the Vault 42 Steam group. o_O
