Going alright. I've actually been forcing myself to play through Fallout 1, and am really enjoying it, now that I've gotten used to the gameplay.

DEAD. Even though Fallout and TES definitely have the best lasting appeal ever, but there are too many casual FPS players and MMO players in the world. I've still been playing the heck out of them of course, I actually only got them recently (within the last year). I think I found the perfect setup for FO3 and New Vegas, using these mods.


Using 12 gauge dragon's breath with the EVE mod; behold the luls. Cool though.




I really hope everyone uses AWOP for New Vegas. The most interesting places in either of these games come from this mod, in my opinion, and they're more detailed than most stock locations. Here's an example: Reimann Cave, near Goodsprings. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)


The cave holds the entrance to Reimann Bunker.




Reimann Bunker holds a bunch of teleportation devices; each one teleports you to a specific Redoubt (pre-war lab it seems). You can also find details on a failed expedition to the Redoubts.


One of the places I visited is Xander Bay, but I went their normally (not via teleportation). It can be found across the river in no-man's land. If you went via teleportation, you'd end up where the last pics of this post are.


Inside Xander Bay is Redoubt O7GV18C.


Broken teleporter to Reimann Bunker (there's also a functional one nearby). Looks just like the one in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky.


Infested with Deathclaws and other monstrosities. Not all of them have this.





TL DR - Get the AWOP mod for those who don't have it, it makes the game 9001x better. In fact get all of the gameplay/misc mods in our New Vegas modding guide. AWOP adds the most interesting places in my opinion, including a massive underground city that is now split up and can be entered from many different locations. I recommend everyone investigates:
  • Reimann Cave (in the hills very close to Goodsprings)
  • Xander Bay (across the river to the East in no-man's land, more or less across from Abandoned BoS Bunker)
  • Nipton Sewers
  • Emergency Service Railyard (here)
  • Nightstalker Den
