Lol, about an hour after you posted that, it happened to me for the first time after killing a raider in VATS.

Bethesda did say that the game isn't supported on W7, so I guess there's no way to fix it.

I'm guessing it has something to do with the new taskbar. This taskbar has caused odd errors in fullscreen VLC and other programs for me.

Bethesda's support for this game has pretty much been a massive joke so thats not a surprise.

Well, the bug list is small (As of latest patch) and most can be fixed with plugins, so they don't really need to support it. Plus, they'll most likely do a better job with New Vegas as far as bugs and compatibility is concerned.

I wonder if running it in Vista 64-bit compatibility mode would help.

I think it's an alt tab issue. Original fallout was having some issues too.

DOes anyone know how to get back the lockpicking and hacking in FWE?

Fallout 3 does NOT support Alt-Tab, despite such support being a pre-requisite for GFWL. I can't get it to alt-tab properly either. If I alt-tab out I have to kill the process and restart to get back in.

ugh, this game is pathetic.

I don't know if I have ever had quite this many issues before with it. It's ridiculous. Random alt-tabs, random crahses.

Now i"m walking back to megaton and at a certain point it crashes every single time.

oh and it just acts like it alt-tabbed.

It's really really annoying is what it is.

yes, it is possibly the buggiest game I've ever seen.
