Time for a new mobo.

I think my kn1 extreme mobo has had it, the chipset hs/f went out long ago, and it is really bad for overclocking. Now I get a new video card and my video isnt working. The card is working...(used it in another computer)... but it just doesnt work. Anywho, my question is what is a decent overclocking mobo at $150 or less?

EDIT: Socket 939

Asus A8R-MVP, super OCable, ATI chipset. You'll find tons of reviews on it. Sells for around 100 bucks.

i'm thinking ASUS or DFI, leaning towards a DFI lanparty.

do they all overclock about the same?

I would highly recommend the DFI, however they can be a tad finiky to get going.

having said that, the support at DFI-Street is the best, hands down, all around.

(besides, if you already know what you are doing then it shouldn't be a problem)

WHy not an ultra.. since you do not even have a nvidia gfx card. As, you cannot run SLI with ATI cards.
