Hey there guys i hear that the yonah will be 478 pin socket type but i hear that it will be 479 pins and you will need a converter how does a converter work with your cooling..How is it fitted exactly and also will you need a specific chipset to run the yonah?? For others wanting this info heres a nice link

Cheers guys.

Yonah is one hell of a CPU. Problem, here in the U.S. no Aopen board nor signs of another manufacturer to make a 975X socket 479.
Reason why I'm not even giving it a thought. And from what I heard the Aopen deskto board for Yonah cost somewhere in the $350-$365 so that automatically is a NO.

With the Aopen Mobo for Yonah, there's no need for an adapter, just more money than expected. It's a shame though, because Intel shold let that happen here in the U.S., let (ASUS) MoBo manufacturers come up with a 975X socket 479 board.

Because these will be the real deal: Intel core duo T2600 VS. FX60...
