X2 4400 voltage?

Hi!

I'm now stable (24hrs of Prime95) At 246Mhz FSB, so my cpu is at 2.46Ghz... I'm running it at 1.350V with overvoltage enable wich give 1.55V. Is this to much for that CPU...??? My Temps are loocking good but I want to make shure that the chip can handle these voltage.

temps:
CPU idle: 36 load: 53
MB idle: 38 load: 42

Is this OK??

That is ok, as long as your temps are good. I wouldn't go over 1.6 though.

Your voltage is still good. Depending on which CPU you have, the 110w or 89w, you still have room to grow. The minimum max temp between the two is 65c.

I would take off the overvoltage feature you have on. It could lead to instability when you start turning up the clock speed more.

I heard that the best for those CPU was to stay under 55degree celcius... Is that true?

For single cores, yes. However, since X2s have two physical cores under their IHS, there is obviously going to be more heat generated. Thus, AMD has engineered the X2 to be a little more tolerant to the heat.

Here is the reference:

http://www.amdcompare.com/us-en/desktop/Default.aspx

You'll have to configure the drop downs to coincide with your processors specifications.

Thanks for your help but I have 2 question.

How can I know if my CPU is the 110 or 89W ???

and why do they give two temps in the Max temp field (49 - 65 celcius) ???
is this because under 49 is the best temps for performance or under 49 there's no harm to the longevity?

They might have revised the CPU and it generated less heat in the new way. I'm not sure. The only way to find out what you have is to pull off the heatsink and look at the part number that is labeled on the IHS and compare it to what is on the website.
