Another 3700+ Thread

Ok i have bowed down to peer pressure and have replaced my 146 with a 3700+ san diego KAB3E stepping week 0547 ....And guess what it exceeded expectations .I managed a top o/c of 2850mhz with the opty and was pleased..But as i have tested this s/d to 3100mhz so far and with a dfi board i know i could go higher but that will have to be the next step this is the first image i have ....

Temps are at 34 degrees full load ...6hrs prime stable .....Tried at 3200mhz but the mobo wont give it anymore juice so .Until i can afford a dfi 3100 it will be ...28 secs super pi 1m alot faster than the opty

do you play any pc games? any of you guys with the 3700 overclocked? if so any problems? sorry i am not hijacking your thread but just curious. nice clock speeds, hopefully it is stable. i had it that high then had a major crash. good luck!

As long as your OC is stable, games will have no problem.

I think I'm definently getting a 3700+, after seeing the results people have been getting with the KAB3E and KABQE steppings... plus, the glory days of the Opty 146 CABYE seem to have passed.

From what I've seen, the KAB2E is a great stepping, and the KAB3E and KABQE are frickin' amazing.
