Understood, but I still don't get the premise. Games like DDR and Guitar Hero make some sense, people like dancing and who doesn't want to be a rock god? But how many people fantasize about being the Iron Chef? Not many I imagine, so what's the appeal?
If they want dads and grandparents, they need to get one of those fishing games in the works. I think they are the stupidest games ever, but grandparents love to fish, and the Rev's controller could be used to make a very realistic fishing simulation, I wouild think. All that would be missing is the actual physical resistance from the fish.
Maybe it's just a cultural thing. As has been noted before, the Japanese like a lot of different things that westerners would find very weird.
Come on, a cooking game has about the same concept as ddr.....and it sells, so why wouldn't a cooking game.
