Hey guys,

Can someone with this configuration tell me your VRMs temperature and which fan are you using ?
Also, i'm planning on buying a Gainward GTX470. Since its my first time buying from Gainward, does anyone had problems with them?

That's a monster of.a heatsink. I know it keeps temps down, but how much I can't say. For a fan, can someone recommend a pair that has good airflow and static pressure?

Also, does it fit the 470? Its built to fit the 200 series cards.

Prolimatech MK-13 is indeed a high performance heatsink. However, its official webpage lists its compatibility up to Nvidia 2xx series only.
Link:
http://www.prolimatech.com/products/...ler/mk-13.html

If it is incompatible, I suggest a powerful option: Gelid VGA Cooler Icy Vision.

One review link:

I hope this is a viable alternative for your consideration.

That's strange? I swear the GTX470 was listed on the compatibility list for the MK-13 the last time I checked Prolimatech's site.

It is still listed on the compatibility for the MK-13 on FrozenCPU.com.

FrozenCPU MK-13

Contagion here on the forums also sold one a few months ago that he had on his GTX470 and from what he showed, it worked great.

Contagion's MK-13 sale thread

From what I have seen, it should work with the GTX470, but maybe Prolimatech found something wrong with using it on the Fermi cards and took it off their compatibility list?

Yes, according to some users Prolimatech briefly stated on their website that the MK-13 was supported on the 470. I don't why they removed it, but I'm guessing it has something to do with the VRMs. I suspect the VRM heatsinks aren't good enough, but that's I'm trying to figure it out. I though by now someone had already tried it.
I guess I'll wait for the ICY VISION, seems nice, but I wonder if it isn't all marketing.

Thanks but I already read that. He doesn't tell what his VRMs temps are
Although he does say he used a different tape and enzo ram sinks on the card.

Maybe one's better off waiting for the "official" after-market heat-sinks to arrive.
