Drive A Media Checksum Error??

Thread Starter
okay, Last night I uninstalled my Drivers for my 6600GT, planning on updating them. I uninstalled them in the control panel, and then rebooted when it said to. But when it started to reboot, It went to a black screen that said " Drive A Checksum Error: Drive A media error", and the motherboard lets out a stream of short beeps. However, I don't have a floppy drive. I don't see how uninstalling my video drivers would cause this error, but that's the only thing I can think of. Anyone know what to do?

In your motherboard Bios Check that your Floppy drive and floppy drive seek option is enabled.

I can't even get to my BIOS. It gives me the error screen and sits there and beeps at me about 2 seconds after I power it up.

Reset the c-mos by taking out the little battery on the mobo

Nothing...

I even found a floppy drive, put it in, and created a Boot disk on another computer, but it won't execute anything on the disk. When I go into the DOS command prompt, it won't recognize ANY commands whatsoever... it just gives me the A:\\> prompt.

did you create a DOS boot disk? or just a boot disk, if its not a dos floppy, you wont be able to run dos commands...lol

I tried both. The XP boot disk wouldn't do anything, so I tried the MS-DOS boot disk, and that didn't help, either.

It's starting to look like I'll be stuck on an iBook until I can get my Sandy and mobo..
