DISASTER!

Boys am sorry I have let the side down this past week or so, I have been having conn probs on my main pc so there has been times when the console has had to wait till I got home to update so that has slowed me down AND I have just realised that the copy I have running on my server has been offline, I dont know for how long either it could be days, weeks :-( gutted!

She will be right mate Its not the end of the world--is it??

We will be victorius again soon enough

I might be down a rig for a week or 2 as I am selling a cpu and buying another.

On other things 3 out of the top 4 teams for this last update are running over their required cpu limmit, I am thinking we are not involved then, especially with your rigs down at the moment BysOn.

Well we came second again this time so that is all good, still on the podium Maybe we can just creep up to first again. Have a little bit of work to do to get the points needed though

Hey there team members.

Just a little update for you.

At present I am trying to get the rig in the signature up and running.. just awaiting a BIOS chip and too pick up the waterblock and coldplate on the weekend ( I sort of went a little over buget here)..

In the meantime the trusty old socketA has been stripped of it's TCCD and down clocked to 2.35GHz 180x13 with the RAM at 1:1 on 2-3-3-6.
As you can very well imagine the FAH client has slowed somewhat but it is still chugging away.

I will let you know when I am up and running..should be the weekend..hpoes the BIOS chip will arrive..

Anyways with all our setbacks last month we still managed a good turnout with a second place ranking..Look out 939's.. when we all up to speed.

cheers

........and am hoping you do get that chip and rig up and running as I am going to be down a rig because I have sold one to make room for the new build to step up to the plate. This will be happening over the next few days to a week.
The only way I will be able to get the 3rd CPU running is by putting the old Athlon 1000 on the road again. This of course is going to show up as another CPU on F@H so it will be 4 for me but it will only really be still the 3 in operation. I am thinking the F@H site takes about a week to update that sort of thing so hopefully that will not hinder the team in any-way by giving us an extra CPU.

xie67 do you wan't to take this up with Taeric or should I, or are you going to take the extra spot that will be available? Leaving me with the 2 CPU's and you with 2 also.

Taeric might read this and if so it should all be cool as the posts are dated

Trying to keep things fair and in perspective.

Go team ArMaDa

Don't worry about the short term effects of switching over a CPU from one member to another. I keep track of CPU counts over time, so unless a team is more than one over in the short term or is consistently high over time, it's not a big deal.

You guys ended up being two CPUs over for this update, but that's not a problem as long as the glitches work themselves out of the system from update to update.

Thanks mate^^^^^ mmm 2 CPU's over hey, is that you Bys0n playing with your 4400's? Or is that me replacing the 3000+ with the 144 opty. Unsure how this all works at the F@H end. We must keep an eye on this team.

Pretty much any change to your system will result in a "new" CPU being reported. Even if you copy your folding directory, reformat, and restore the directory, it will double count the CPU. That all works itself out of the system after 7 days, and I absolutely expect that this will hit every team as some point or another. The only time it's a problem is when a team or member is over week after week or a team or member is way over their limit as that likely isn't the result of a glitch (though stranger things have happened).

Anyway, you guys are fine in my book. I'm sure things will work themselves through the system in the coming weeks.

Thanks for the post here Taeric.
As soon as we all seem to sort ourselves out over the next week or two I shall post up what is going on.

So far we have :

xie67 reformatting the XP300+ and soon to add a 64 3000+ for a total of 2 active CPU's.

tuchan down to 1 active CPU but having another running this week.

dazed_and_confused still having issues getting the second rig up and running

Bys0n having an issue with the X2 4400+ and not sure what is going on with the other 2 active CPU's.

Anyways I will endevour to get the status of our members clarified after the weekend. As we know the FAH site that reports the active CPU count will refresh every 7 day's and should clarify it with all.

If you are wondering about the site the competition regulators use, just click on your FAH icon and select 'user statistics' you can see your active CPU count for last 7 & 50 days.

cheers
